Flight of the Battery Hens
January 17th - 31st 2025, PS Art Space, Fremantle
Escape the cage…
Flight of the Battery Hens invites an exploration of freedom, resilience, and transcendence. Through 22 classical oil paintings, Melissa weaves together the myths and tales of old to confront the struggles of now.
This highly anticipated exhibition is the culmination of Melissa’s expeditions to the High Arctic, ancestral bond with the English countryside and her new connection to Fremantle, all of which have informed her her visual stories about the beautiful drama of the human condition
This new work will inspire you to take flight beyond the cage.
